Treat. Correct. Perform.

How it works

Treat

Treat

During your initial consultation, your physical therapist will work with you to design an individual treatment plan following a comprehensive Physical Therapy Evaluation and Clinical Diagnosis.

Treatment is indicated when you come to us in pain, your mechanical capacity to move efficiently is compromised, you need to recover faster, or to prevent injuries.

Typical Treatment Regimens

Myofascial release techniques | Joint Mobilization’s/Manipulation | The Functional Manual Therapy ® Approach | Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) | Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) | Functional cupping | Kinesiotaping | Leukotaping | Muscle and joint recovery | Performance or “Game Day” prep

Correct

Correct

Once your mechanical limitations or pains have been treated, your physical therapist will work with you to develop your personalized recovery toolkit - involving education to understand the why, tools to understand the what and corrective exercises to understand the how so you can get your body moving again!

This is important to avoid falling back on bad habits and faulty postural movement patterns.

Typical Corrective Exercises

Postural imbalance |  Diaphragmatic exercises, Weight-training | Functional movement | Gait | Bio-mechanical movement corrections | Warm-up routines | Evening routines | Sports related drills

Perform

Perform

Once your mechanical issues have been treated and your bio-mechanical movement has been corrected, you get to put your body to the test! This is all about performance integration.

Here, you’ll get to apply everything you have learned to your normal routine, whether that’s weight-lifting technique, running form, sprinting and jumping mechanics or living your best active life.

Typical Performance Integration

Depending on the acute or chronic nature of your condition, your physical therapist may have you:

  1. take a short 1-2 week break from the physical activity that may be harming your condition.

  2. continue your physical activity with specific modifications.

  3. Carry on as normal while adding specific corrective/rehabilitation exercises to your daily routine.

These decisions are based on science, research, experience and your unique needs.

“I had the pleasure of having Kerry Ojeda as my PT. She did a wonderful job and was incredibly thorough. She taught me proper form and function in my exercise technique so that I could prevent another injury in the future. It helped me monumentally and I came back better than ever once she helped heal me! She definitely knows what she's talking about! Thanks Kerry, you rock!”
